Reasons for Participating in the Program
At APU, I became deeply interested in sustainability and entrepreneur. I wanted to experience how those ideas work in the real world, so I joined a field study led by Professor Fujita. Unlike regular classes, it was a hands-on program where we formed teams and developed a business model in just three days. I saw it as a great opportunity to explore my interests further with teammates from diverse backgrounds.
How the Program Helped You Grow
This program required both the ability to quickly turn ideas into action and to work as a team with people from different backgrounds. I focused on circular agriculture and proposed a business model using rice husks. Although it was an unfamiliar field at first, close collaboration with professors and graduate students at Kyushu University provided me with expert advice and a wealth of information, which led to a continuous stream of new insights. What I learned through this experience will definitely be useful not only for my future studies but also for running my own coffee stand.
Message for Students Interested in The Program
If you’re even a little curious, go for it! I was nervous at first too, but I gained so much more than I expected. You get to work with international students, turn your ideas into action, and learn in a way that’s totally different from regular classes. It’s challenging but really rewarding.
