Instructor: UEHARA Yuko
Reason Why You Decided to Apply
I applied for Professor Uehara's Field Study because I believe it will be a valuable opportunity to learn about the challenges faced in making real-world management decisions based on theories and concepts learned in university courses and seminars. Specifically, I am eager to contribute effective proposals to companies working on the recovery efforts following the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake. Moreover, I am excited about the chance to engage in practical learning while building strong bonds with my peers through shared experiences and visits to various facilities.
What do you hope to gain from participating in the program and how will you apply it to your future undergraduate studies or career?
During the program, I had the opportunity to accurately understand the ideal image of an accommodation facility that the management sought and to propose new management strategies from a fresh perspective. This experience cultivated my ability to ask questions such as "What kind of vision does the management want to realize?" and "How does the current situation compare to the vision?" Additionally, I was able to challenge myself to make consistent and well-founded proposals based on the most important image I held. Fortunately, I received a job offer from the facility I participated in the Field Study. I am eager to continue contributing actively to the company after joining.
