Painter KUSAKABE Naoki has donated three of his major works to APU. These paintings all depict scenes from Italy, with one of them based on the shooting location for the film Cinema Paradiso. The paintings have been placed in the lobby of Building A, the lobby of Building D, and the 2nd floor of the Student Union on the APU campus to enable as many students as possible to see these works of art.

On December 4, Mr. Kusakabe visited APU, commenting that “the three paintings have already become one with the walls, finding a place of peace at this university which commands a magnificent view of Beppu Bay in the distance. I would be honored if the students here, who come from all over the world, see these works.”

The university thanks Mr. Kusakabe for his donation and encourages everyone to view his works.
