Apr 25, 2018

In the spring of 2018, 8 students participated in GAIA (Global Internship with Alumni), a program organized by APU that matches current students with alumni working both in Japan and around the world.

On April 17 and 19, program participants presented their spring internship experiences at a public event. Five students interned with FREE SPIRIT JAPAN, and three students went to the Embassy of the Maldives. Each participant shared with the audience what they gained from their internship and how they would use their experiences in the future. They also spoke on the importance of learning how to solve an issue democratically and the networking opportunities they found during their internships.

Students from all over the world study at APU and pursue a wide range of goals after graduation. GAIA is just one program that supports students in forming career paths over the course of their four years of study at the university. Programs like these give students the opportunity to network with industry professionals while learning practical skills.
