Recipients of the ANDO Momofuku Scholarship/Honor Prize Visit Nissin Food Products Co., Ltd

On February 21st 2007, a group of APU and Ritsumeikan University recipients of the ANDO Momofuku Scholarship and the ANDO Momofuku Honor Prize visited the Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum to express their appreciation to Nissin Food Products Co., Ltd. for their awards.Two of the students receiving the ANDO Momofuku Scholarship and one of the students receiving the ANDO Momofuku Honor Prize were APU students.

During the visit, the students made queries regarding the invention of instant ramen and tried their own hands at producing instant ramen before expressing their thanks to the president of Nissin Food Products Co., Ltd., Mr. ANDO Koki. Rizka Vidya Miladian(APM2, Indonesia), commented that she is deeply appreciative for the scholarship and that in the future she aspires to apply what she is learning now in order to make a contribution to society like Dr. ANDO Momofuku. *The ANDO Momufuku Honor Prize is a scholarship which was established through the courtesy of the late Dr. ANDO Momofuku, the founder of Nissin Food Products Co., ltd. and honorary doctor. The scholarship aims to support undergraduate students who are scheduled to graduate and who have a strong desire to contribute to the Asia Pacific Region in their future careers. Each year one to two students are awarded this scholarship.

*The ANDO Momufuku Scholarship was also established through the courtesy of the late Dr. ANDO Momofuku. It aims to support students with high academic merit and insightful personalities who have participated extensively in extracurricular activities and displayed strong leadership qualities. One to four students in their 2nd or 3rd year are awarded this scholarship each year.
