APU would like to thank all of those people who so kindly assisted the APU students' in their Great Sichuan Earthquake fund-raising efforts.
The APU Great Sichuan Earthquake Support Committee was organized by student volunteers, mainly Chinese students and conducted fund-raising campaigns.
We would like to introduce a message of gratitude and a report of fund-raising activities from the students.

Appreciation for the cooperation towards fund-raising activities for the Great Sichuan Earthquake relief efforts
The Great Sichuan Earthquake Support Committee would like to express its sincerest gratitude to each and every person including Beppu and Oita residents, who donated to the fund raising activities held both on and off campus between May 14th and June 10th.
As you know, the devastating magnitude-7.8 earthquake struck Sichuan at 2:28 pm on Monday 12th May, claiming 69,185 lives, injuring 372,171 people and leaving 18,467 people still missing as of June 24th 2008 according to the Xinhua News Agency (China). Its scale is said to have been approximately 20 times that of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.
In response to this disaster, APU students decided to form the committee to help the victims on May 14th.
We really appreciate your cooperation toward us and we sincerely wish the disaster areas return to normal as soon as possible.
