On July 16 (Tue) and July 19 (Fri), the Ritsumeikan Center for Asia Pacific Studies (RCAPS) of the APU Research Office will host a “RCAPS Onigiri Seminar” organized by APU-APS Professor MANTELLO Peter.
On July 16 (Tue), MCSTAY Andy and BAKIR Vian, Professors of Bangor University, will give special talks entitled “What is Emotional AI?” and “Digital Disinformation & Emotional AI.”
On July 19 (Fri), Dr. URQUHART Lachlan, a Lecturer of Edinburgh University and Ms. MIRANDA Diana, a Lecturer of Keele University, will give special talks entitled “Regulating Smart Cities: AI & Urban Life” and “Policing the Future: Technology & Surveillance.”

University of Oregon, USA, will give a special talk entitled “Welcome to Washington Heights: America Towns and Americanization in Occupied Japan.”
