[Report by Professor SATO Yoichiro (APS) as the seminar organizer]

As the first ever RCAPS seminar on Zoom, it featured three APU researchers to present interdisciplinary perspectives on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Three short and carefully coordinated presentations provided a holistic bird’s eye view of the pandemic, ranging from medical and epidemiological perspectives to international legal and political perspective.
The speakers kept to their assigned twelve minutes and the following Q&A session was highly engaging. Participants submitted many questions, which were passed onto one or two presenters to answer. The seminar was wrapped up with concluding remarks by Professor Sato.
The Zoom platform and live streaming on Youtube opened up a new horizon to RCAPS seminars. With cooperation of the President’s Office and the Ritsumeikan London Office, the seminar was advertised through their web and mailing distributions.
