The Ritsumeikan Center of Asia Pacific Studies (RCAPS) offers the Visiting Research Fellow program for researchers who wish to conduct research while at APU.

Currently, Dr. Mohamed JOUILI from the University of Tunis is at APU as a Visiting Researcher to investigate the "One Village One Product Movement" (OVOP Movement).
On July 22, 2009 he visited Mr. HIRAMATSU, former Oita prefecture governor, who is an advocate of the OVOP Movement.

Mr. HIRAMATSU discussed how he would like to see a pilot case done in Tunisia that would be an actual example of the OVOP Movement in Tunisia and to see an OVOP Movement organization established in Tunisia which would work together with Oita prefecture and APU.
