Abstract:
Introducing the Care and Growth Leadership Model:
*The Care and Growth model was developed by Etsko Schuitema as the result of research done in the 1980's in the South African Gold Mining Industry.
*At the time both South Africa and it's mining industry were embroiled in the throws of a revolution and an escalating civil war.
* The research demonstrated that managers could solicit the commitment of employees under the most challenging circumstances.
