APU Student Wins Rubik's Cube Asian Championship

SUGAMA Sei (APS1, Japan) won an impressive series of victories in contests of Rubik's Cube speed solving at the "Rubik's Cube Asian Championship 2014" held from November 1(Saturday), 2 and 3 (Monday holiday), 2014. This year's competition marked the third Asian championship and was held in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture. Two hundred seven participants from thirteen countries and regions and ranging in age from six to eighty-two years old competed based on their skills developed through daily practice.



SUGAMA defeated the assembled veterans to win the main competition in the "Rubik's Cube Division" with a result of 9.47 seconds. In addition to winning the "Rubik's Cube: One-handed Division" with a time of 14.59 seconds, he also placed in seven different categories.
