On July 24, 2023, Ambassador Martin Tomčo from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Japan visited APU. He was accompanied by Mr. Akamatsu, the President of the Oita-Czech Friendship Association, and Mr. Goto, the Secretary-General. On that day, Vice President Yoneyama, Vice President Baise-Zee, Professor Natsuda from APS, and other staff members in charge of student recruitment welcomed the Ambassador and engaged in discussions. Currently, APU has two students from the Czech Republic enrolled. The discussions were lively, focusing on strengthening collaboration between the Czech Republic and APU in educational activities and providing advice on student recruitment. The Ambassador expressed his delight, saying, "I have visited various universities in Japan, but this is the most international environment I have ever seen.”
