The Ambassador to Japan Mr. Seiko Luis ISHIKAWA Kobayashi visits APU.

On Friday October 31, 2008, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Japan H. E. Mr. Seiko Luis ISHIKAWA Kobayashi visited APU and sat down for a talk with APU Vice President, Professor COOPER,M.J.M. A student from Venezuela also attended.

During the talk Professor COOPER said "We at APU are trying to become a bridge between the vast body of knowledge in Japan, especially in science and social sciences, and the outside world. We hope to add Venezuela to our international network". To which Mr. ISHIKAWA replied "We are trying to create links and networks with universities and students to create an international network. It would be an honor to have links with such an illustrious university".

After their talk, Mr. ISHIKAWA gave a commemorative lecture entitled "Venezuela and Japan: Opportunities forwards the future".

There is currently 1 international student from Venezuela studying here at APU. It is expected that the cooperative relationship between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and APU will continue.
