The seminar welcomed Mr. Philip SALLIS, Director, Geoinformatics Research Centre, Auckland University of Tech. His lecture was titled " 'Eno-Humanas' - Climate and Environment Models for the Grape Growing and Wine Production Industry"
On Wednesday November 26, a RCAPS sponsored seminar was held at APU.
The seminar welcomed Mr. Abhik CHAKRABORTY, Master's Candidate, Graduate School of Asia Pacific Studies, APU. His lecture was titled" Continuity and Transformation in the Social Landscape in the Ajoy River Basin near Bolpur Town in West Bengal, India"
The Honourable Ranil Wickremesinghe, former Prime Minister of Sri Lanka and current Leader of the opposition party, presented a RCAPS Seminar on November 4, 2008. He delivered a speech entitled 'The Impact of Small Government Competitiveness and Wealth Creation - Lessons from Reform in Sri Lanka' to a captive audience of APU students and faculty.
On Wednesday October 22, a RCAPS sponsored seminar was held at APU. The seminar welcomed Professor YAMAGAMI Susumu, the Dean of APU's College of Asia Pacific Studies. His lecture was titled "Resettlement of Indochinese Refugees and Displaced Persons in Japan; Policy Shift and International Context".
On Friday September 19, the Ritsumeikan Center for Asia Pacific Studies (RCAPS) sponsored seminar was held at APU. This seminar welcomed the Chairman of Princess of Naradhiwas University Council, Professor Dr. Krasae Chanawongse who gave a lecture with the theme of "Leadership in a Changing World".
