On July 8th, 2014, APU welcomed Professor Hiroo Takahashi (International Management & Business Ethics, Hakuoh University, President of the Japan Society for Business Ethics Study (JSBES) to give a lecture entitled, “The International Competitiveness of the Japanese Service Industry”.
On the 19th & 26th of June, APU welcomed a special guest – Professor FRITZ Heiko, Department of Peace and Development Studies, Linnaeus University, Växjö, Sweden – to deliver RCAPS Current Research Seminars entitled, `Microfinance and Human Development. Asia-Pacific in the Light of Global Trends’ and ‘Impact Assessment of Development Intervention. Methodology and Examples from Microfinance.’

On the 18th of June, APU welcomed a special guest – Mr Kiyoshi Kokeguchi, Planning Group Leader, Senior Officer for Port and Airport Environment, Port and Airport Department, Kyushu Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism – to deliver an RCAPS Current Research Seminar entitled, ‘Current State of Port Policies in Japan and Efforts of Ports in Kyushu’.
On the 16th of April, APU welcomed a special guest – Mr Jonas Severin Frank (Doctoral Candidate, Research and Teaching Assistant Philipps-Universitat Marburg) – to deliver a lecture entitled, ‘Patent Settlements within the Complex Institutional Framework of the Pharmaceutical Sector’.
