A Message from the Career Office to All New Students

Congratulations on entering APU!
The Career Office welcomes you all with open arms. We look forward to helping you make the most of your time here and then sending you off to make waves in the working world.

Even though it has been a while since I finished undergraduate and graduate school, I remember how quickly my time as a student passed by. Looking back, there are many things I wish I had done during those times.

And with that, we encourage you all to start early and begin making goals for your life after graduation. What do you want to do? Who do you want to become? Once those goals are set, you can start forming ideas of what to do while you’re a student to reach those goals.

Hearing the word “career,” it may feel like something far off. But through internships and classes for planning your future, it’s right at your fingertips.

With all these steps in mind, the Career Office is here to help you all along the way. The first step is the Career Guidance for New Students on April 7th. We highly encourage your participation in this event.

At the guidance, we’ll ask about your ideas for after graduation and plan future guidances based on your responses. So please tell us all about your hopes for your future careers. You can also provide feedback through the following survey, so please submit your response by 10:00 am, Monday, 9th April.

If you attend the guidance, you will also be able to hear from an APU graduate now working at LinkedIn. While LinkedIn is often used for business purposes, it can be a powerful tool for job hunting. You can also use it to learn more about what APU graduates around the world are doing.
