Credit Transfer
Credits earned at your previous universities, junior colleges, and other higher education institutions will be transferred as APU credits.
Students entering APU as 2nd year students will have up to 30 credits transferred .
- Subjects will not be transferred under the same APU subject title.

In principle, subjects completed at your previous universities, junior colleges, and other higher education institutions will not be transferred as APU subjects under the same title. However, for the College of International Management (APM), subjects completed at institutions accredited by AACSB, EQUIS, EPAS, or AMBA may be transferred as APU subjects under the same title.
- Credits for Required Subjects at APU cannot be transferred.

How to check Transferred Credits
Please check your transffered credits on the CAMPUS WEB “Registered Courses and Grade Report” screen around two business days before the Priority Registration Period B.
The university will not provide individual notifications regarding transffered credits.

Graduation Requriements : Required Lanauge Education Subjects (Japanese)
To graduate from APU, students entering APU as 2nd year students must complete all required credits for Required Language Education Subjects (Japanese). Their starting level will be determined based on the results of the Placement Test.
The university will automatically register and assign you to the appropriate classes based on your placement test results. Your class schedule will be announced by the university.
Special Provision for Courses Taught in English
Japanese-basis students are normally required to earn at least 20 credits from courses taught in English as part of their graduation requirements.
In addition, students must have completed “Intermediate English A and B” to take courses taught in English. For students entering APU as 2nd year students through Transfer Admissions & Second Bachelor’s Degree Admission, only this prerequisite for taking courses taught in English is exempt.
Therefore, students can take Common Liberal Arts Subjects, Major Education Subjects, and Other College Subjects taught in English from the beginning of their studies at APU. The requirement to earn at least 20 credits from courses taught in English still applies. To fulfill the graduation requirements, students are encouraged to plan and take courses taught in English accordingly.
