You can use email and calendar services through the email address issued by APU.
APU's email system is provided via Microsoft365 a service from Microsoft.

1. Usage Flow

STEP.1 Initial Login and Setup

Complete the initial setup according to the Email Initial Setup Manual.

STEP.2 Start Using Email

Important announcements from the university may be sent via email. Be sure to check your mailbox regularly.

How to Use the Email System

Microsoft 365 is a Microsoft service. If you have any questions about how to use it, please refer to the help section, official Microsoft documentation, or the Microsoft Community.

Microsoft Community
The Microsoft Community is a website managed by Microsoft, where users and experts exchange information on Microsoft products and related questions.

STEP.3 Termination of Use (e.g., Graduation or Resignation)

When your affiliation with APU ends (e.g., graduation or resignation), you will no longer be able to use your APU email account. Please migrate your data to an external email service.
Refer to the manual for detailed instructions on how to do this.

Important Notes

Do not use half-width katakana (1-byte katakana), as they can cause garbled characters.
Be cautious when handling emails from unknown senders. Never open attachments or click links carelessly.
Microsoft 365 services are used for email. For a list of available Microsoft 365 services, refer to the Microsoft 365 Service List.

Mobile Phone Usage Not available on feature phones (non-smartphones).
Emails Likely to Be Flagged as Spam
  • Emails with spoofed sender addresses
    (e.g., sending an email from Gmail but changing the “From” address to an APU address)
  • Emails sent to a large number of recipients
  • Emails sent from low-reputation servers
  • Emails missing header information or with malformed headers
  • Emails resembling phishing attempts (e.g., those requesting users to enter their ID and password)
