MEXT has approved the proposal 'Change to the Regulations to Allow for Increase in Intake Capacity' to begin from AY 2006

Aug 30, 2005

On April 28, 2005, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University applied to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) to increase the student intake capacity. This was approved by MEXT on July 28, 2005. This means that the University's intake capacity from AY 2006 onward will be 1,250 (College of Asia Pacific Studies: 650, College of Asia Pacific Management: 600), and the total university capacity shall rise to 5,000.

As of spring semester 2005 APU currently has students from 75 countries and regions enrolled. However, in order to further enhance the multicultural environment, the next target will be to attract students from 100 countries and regions. By achieving this, APU can produce an environment to nurture human resources with the knowledge and leadership to contribute to the sustainable development of the Asia Pacific Region.
