Yoneyama Hiroshi was inaugurated as the 5th President of APU on January 1, 2024.

In April 2020, Mr. Yoneyama became the Vice President of APU and was concurrently appointed as a professor. Prior to this, he served as an assistant professor at Toyo Women’s College and later was appointed as a professor at Ritsumeikan University.

Regarding his education, Mr. Yoneyama graduated from the Faculty of Liberal Arts at the University of Tokyo, and pursued his studies at the Graduate School of History and Anthropology at the University of Tsukuba, as well as at the Department of History at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he obtained his Master of Arts in History with a specialization in American History.
