Nov 6, 2004

On Sunday, October 23 a career development support session was held at APU for third-year students who will be doing job hunting in the near future.

The meeting was hosted by the Tokyo Office and was attended by 10 members of the Tokyo Alumni Association of Ritsumeikan including SUMINO Koichi, the president of the Tokyo Alumni Association of Ritsumeikan; NAKANO Hidekatsu, the president of the Oita Alumni Association of Ritsumeikan; TAKEMOTO Shinya, the president of the APU Student & Alumni Association; and LEE Eng Ngor from the APU Student & Alumni Association.

Approximately 70 APU students participated in the meeting. The third-year students received encouraging words and heard personal anecdotes (i.e., about looking for jobs) from Alumni members and fourth-year students. An introduction to the activities of an alumni association was also given by the APU Alumni who stressed the importance of maintaining a network.

In the afternoon, four breakout sessions were held for alumni members and participants were able to ask questions and exchange opinions.
