Jul 4, 2007

As of January 2007, the Ritsumeikan Academy has forged cooperative relations with 281 universities and institutions in 52 countries and regions of the world. Based on this network, APU offers various partnership projects including exchange programs for study abroad, language training programs, joint research and interactive programs for students and faculty members. This academic year, APU has devised a special 'Tailor Made Summer Program' and has been seeking student participants from all over the world including those from our affiliated universities. One of the initiatives under this program is a 'Business Study Tour', which is currently in progress. A total of 11 students from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (JKUS) Business School (Hong Kong) arrived for the program at APU on July 1st.

APU has a Student Exchange Agreement with Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and many exchange events are carried out every year. The Tailor Made Summer Program will be held for 2 weeks from July 1 to July 14, 2007. During this program, the participants will learn about the Japanese culture and language. They will also have the opportunity to visit a number of Japanese companies.

Two short-term exchange students from HKUST expressed their enthusiasm towards learning the Japanese language and acquiring knowledge about Japanese culture and traditions.
