On Thursday 20th December 2007, the Republic of Botswana Ambassador to Japan, His Excellency Mr. Oscar MOTSWAGAE, visited APU.On 30th March this year, APU signed an Agreement of Cooperation with the University of Botswana and both universities look forward to beginning a mutual student exchange program in spring 2008.
At the meeting with President CASSIM, Ambassador MOTSWAGAE conveyed his expectations for this collaboration, "I hope to send gifted students from Botswana to study at APU to become skilled personnel in the tourism and hospitality field". The gentlemen continued their discussion exchanging views about the "4th Tokyo International Conference on African Development" which will take place in 2008.
There are currently 66 students from Africa pursuing their studies at the university and APU looks forward to accepting more African students in the future.
