One of the highlights of the APU event calendar is Multicultural Weeks. During each week, the language, customs and lifestyle of one of the many countries and regions represented on campus are introduced through a range of colorful events arranged by APU students. Held every year in the spring and fall (May-July, November-January), a delicious array of traditional dishes is available on the cafeteria menu in addition to traditional dance and music performances held throughout the campus and the Grand Show held on the final day of each week.
Sri Lanka: a very special island that travelers, from Sinbad to Marco Polo, dreamed about; a place where the contours of the land itself form a kind of rugged poetry.
We’re Lakshan Dissanayaka and Nimesh Hewawasam, two of the chief organizers of the Sri Lankan Week Committee.
We aim to bring you the magic, the traditions, the amazing culinary delights, and the warm island culture of Sri Lanka to brighten up the dreary APU winter as Sri Lankan Week 2017 unfolds on December 4. Be it the culture, the food, or the history, Sri Lanka is a mix of marvelous flavors. We hope to offer you precious and unforgettable memories throughout the week to be cherished for a lifetime. Thank you.
