APU Summer Camp 2006

Aug 10, 2006

From Saturday, July 29 to Monday, July 31, "APU Summer Camp" was held at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University.High school students gathered from all over Japan to discuss international issues with APU's student body. APU's students come from 74 countries and regions in the world. Participants in the intensive 3-day program deepened their understanding of international issues that are present in today's global society. This was the 7th year the Summer Camp was held.

High school student participants were selected from a large number of applicants nationwide. They were able to work together and directly face the pressing issues of the 21st century, exchange opinions, and come out with a better understanding of the world around them.

Students left the program with new goals and aspirations to become leaders of the future. The new sense of purpose they carried as they left APU serves as an inspiration for us all.
