APU Graduate Interview Published in the TOEIC Web-Magazine "GLOBAL MANAGER"

An interview article with APU graduate Nemendra Darshani HETTIARACHCHI (Graduate Spring'06, Sri Lanka, currently working at JGC PLANTECH CO., LTD, QC Management Dept., Logistic Services Team) appeared in the GLOBAL MANAGER #35 - a web-magazine the Institute for International Business Communication (IIBC) sends out to young people aiming to be active overseas.Ms. HETTIARACHCHI was introduced in "The global human resource in the next seat" feature article which throws the spotlight onto foreigners who are active in Japanese businesses utilizing their high level skills and communication abilities.

During the interview Ms. HETTIARACHCHI spoke of her motivation to study in Japan, the puzzlement she felt towards certain differences between Japan and her home country's living environments, the reason she chose to seek employment in Japanese business and her current work duties. "Women also should attain proficiency in leadership. Specialist knowledge needed in your job is an important foundation". "I want to study more and more so that I can be able to answer any questions to do with my duties with confidence". During the interview Ms. HETTIARACHCHI's passion for her job and working in her business came to the fore.

The magazine is a web-based information magazine published by the Institute for International Business Communication (IIBC) - a Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry incorporated foundation - which runs and administers the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) and aims to contribute to the nurturing of global human resources.
