Notes from the President

Happy New Year to everyone.
I have recently assumed the role of the 5th President. I kindly ask for your continued support.

APU has accepted students from 166 countries and regions with different cultural and social backgrounds, and has produced more than 20,000 graduates who have gone on to play active roles in the world. The university's innovative model for internationalization has been collectively crafted by everyone involved - students, faculty, alumni, and the wider community associated with APU. I truly feel this collaborative spirit.

This year marks the 25th anniversary since APU was founded. The history of APU so far has been made possible through the support and collaboration of all of you. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. In order to become an even better university, APU will strive to respond to the changes in global and Japanese societies, aspiring to go beyond the established global norms under the motto of 'Leap Beyond Global'.

According to the APU2030 Vision, 'APU graduates possess the power to change our world', everyone who has been part of APU will contribute to changing the world. APU will continue its endeavors to be the hub of a network aimed at solving global issues. We will strive to create a university that will make everyone in Beppu, Oita, Kyushu, and Japan proud that APU exists.
