One of the highlights of the APU event calendar is Multicultural Weeks. During each week, the language, customs and lifestyle of one of the many countries and regions represented on campus are introduced through a range of colorful events arranged by APU students. Held every year in the spring and fall (May-July, November-January), a delicious array of traditional dishes is available on the cafeteria menu in addition to traditional dance and music performances held throughout the campus and the Grand Show held on the final day of each week.
Myanmar, also known as The Golden Land Myanmar, is a country with many pagodas that shine brightly under the sun and has been rich in culture and tradition since historic times.
It has been a while since Myanmar Week was celebrated, and now, in 2017 on APU campus, the Myanmar student organization has come back together to recreate the long forgotten multicultural week. Thanks to the supporters and the members of the student organization, we are able to stand proudly and call ourselves the Students of APU from Myanmar and showcase our country’s rich customs. As APU is a multicultural society, we, Myanmar students, would like to share the rich and beautiful culture and tradition of Myanmar. We are all trying our best to share and show the colorfulness of The Golden Land Myanmar through events and performances.
