What is RITMUNC?
Ritsumeikan Model United Nations APU invites participants from other universities to hold expanded Model United Nations conferences. In Model United Nations, participants, who are assigned to represent countries on specific UN committees, discuss issues with and negotiate with other nations’ representatives with the aim of passing resolutions. While playing their roles, participants must consider real global issues as well as the relationships between different countries while searching for their strategies. Through this process, they become more aware of global issues while improving their public speaking, debate, research, and negotiation skills. In this project, participants of various backgrounds conduct diplomacy simulations.
