What is APU Food Pantry IRODORI?
APU Food Pantry IRODORI conducts activities such as food pantries (distributing donated food, surplus food, and disaster preparedness food provided free of charge by companies) and food drives (collecting unwanted food from households) at APU and in the Kamegawa region to reduce food loss and support households and students struggling with high prices. In Beppu City, where there have been few organizations conducting food pantries, we provide the community and students with the opportunity to contribute to reducing food loss. Through participation in activities and lectures, we aim to encourage more people to think about Japan's food loss problem and to become aware of the existence of social welfare councils and food banks.
