What is MyPlate Project?
In MyPlate Project, international students from various countries and regions will hold cooking classes to teach healthy dishes from their home countries. This series of events, where participants can also learn about the food culture and etiquette of each country, is an interesting endeavor that has not been seen before. Through this project, we aim to promote deep interaction among students and enhance both mental and physical health. By sharing recipes, including nutritional balance, of dishes commonly consumed in their respective countries, participants may also develop an interest in the food culture backgrounds and histories of other countries. In the final cooking class of the project, we plan to conduct a cooking class using only local ingredients from Oita Prefecture. We are planning an experience where participants can enjoy the luxury of food from harvest to cooking in the Kunisaki Peninsula, registered as a World Agricultural Heritage Site.
