Faculty Positions

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University is looking for faculty members to support new academic endeavors.
The positions available are shown below.

Tourism Studies The College of Sustainability and Tourism Type of Employment: Fixed-term faculty member（Tenure Track, under age 65 at the time of appointment)
Position: Assistant Professor or Associate Professor
*Assistant professors will be on non-tenure-track employment at the time of appointment but this may be converted to tenure track.

・Can teach “Heritage Tourism”, “Introduction to Tourism and Hospitality”, and “Geography of the Asia Pacific”.
・Can teach major seminars and instruct graduation thesis.
・Candidate is required to be able to teach in English. (It is desirable to be able to teach in Japanese, too, but not required)
・Other subjects to teach will be decided upon consultation with the successful candidate and in consideration to their professional experience, research fields, interests, and educational needs of the university.
・Duties include generating research publications, teaching, and providing service to the school.

At APU, undergraduate subjects are offered in both English and Japanese, and graduate subjects are offered entirely in English. Official business on campus is conducted in either English or Japanese.
