Professor NAKATA and Professor Richard B. Dasher, the Director of the Stanford University U.S. – Asia Technology Management Center (US-ATMC), concluded a research cooperation memorandum in June 2009.

From October 2009 until March 2010, Professor NAKATA has been engaged in joint research of eco-innovation centering on solar-cell venture industries as a Visiting Professor at US-ATMC under the theme of "Comparative Research of the Creation of Eco-Innovations and Proposals for Industry and Regional Development Strategies".

Based on the results of his research at US-ATMC, these lectures aim to provide ideas and proposals for a strategy to revitalize the Japanese regions and industry. He also hopes to provide regional business seeking to enter the solar-cell industry with support and examples from the US solar-industry.
