Farewell Party for exchange students

Jul 30, 2004

On July 30 the International Affairs Division held a farewell party for 26 exchange students who completed their exchange period at APU this Spring. There were about 70 people present, including faculty and staff, past APU exchange students and students who will leave for exchange this Fall and in Spring 2005. Mr Conner Cole, 1-year exchange student from Oklahoma University, America, gave a very inspiring speech to "challenge yourself and others and to follow your dreams".

The Dean of International Affairs, Mr A. Mani, gave a short speech asking that students treasure their time at APU, leave with great memories and share those memories with future exchange students to APU.
After the ceremony where students were also awarded their Certificate of Participation, there was time for students to talk with each other over everybody’s favourite - FREE food!

The International Affairs Division is also preparing for the arrival of our next batch of exchange students. This Fall we have 32 students from Canada, US, France, Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, and we will also be welcoming our first students from the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark and Sookmyung Woman's University in Korea. Keep an eye out for our welcome party in October, which we hope will also be a great success in helping join students together.
