Hello, everyone. I'm Ashmi Jha. I'm originally from India and currently pursuing International Business Management at APU. I’ve always been passionate about experiencing diverse cultures and backgrounds, which is why I chose APU. Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in the Open Campus event at APU, and I wanted to share my reflections on this inspiring day.
The Open Campus event at APU was an eye-opening experience. The energy and enthusiasm from both prospective students and current students were palpable. As someone who values multicultural interactions, it was fantastic to see students from various cultural backgrounds coming together to explore what APU has to offer.
APU's international environment allows me to learn so much beyond textbooks. The Open Campus event reinforced my belief that APU is a unique place where students can improve their language skills, gain global perspectives, and grow personally and academically. Meeting prospective students who were eager to learn about this diverse environment reminded me of why I fell in love with APU in the first place.
During the Open Campus event, I had the chance to speak about my role and vision as the Future Visionary Vice President (FVVP) of APU. I applied for this position because I wanted to contribute more to our university's growth and be a bridge between students and the administration. My goal is to foster a better learning environment and engage in projects aimed at building a "sustainable future."
One of the highlights of the event was interacting with prospective students. Their curiosity and excitement about joining APU were infectious. I shared my experiences and insights, emphasizing how APU's diverse community has enriched my life. It was fulfilling to see their eyes light up with the possibilities that APU offers.
Thinking about the future can be both exciting and overwhelming because there are so many possibilities. At the Open Campus event, I talked about my interest in the intersection of AI, technology, and healthcare. Using my business degree to make a difference in this field is something I’m passionate about. I’ve always wanted to be involved in the community, and healthcare seems like a great way to achieve that.
One of my primary goals as FVVP is to actively involve all the diverse members of APU. At the Open Campus event, I highlighted the importance of cooperation, co-creation, and coexistence. These principles are essential for creating an environment where every voice is heard, every idea is valued, and every member has a role to play.
Participating in the Open Campus event reinforced my belief that APU is not just an academic institution; it's a place where change happens, groundbreaking ideas are born, and diversity and inclusivity are celebrated. As FVVP, I am excited to work with the summit members to elevate APU to new heights of innovation, collaboration, and global leadership.
To all the Japanese high school students who attended the Open Campus event, APU is an excellent place to expand your global perspective and learn about diverse cultures and values. Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself in a new environment and grow. The experience at APU will be a significant asset for your future career and life.
Reflecting on the Open Campus event, I am more motivated than ever to contribute to APU’s vibrant community. The proverb, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step," resonates deeply with me. This initiative is the first step towards great achievements in the future. Let’s expand the boundaries of knowledge and innovation, embrace differences, and celebrate our shared humanity. APU is our stage to change the world and engage with it through our actions.
Let’s grow together and make this world ours. Let’s build an APU that symbolizes what can be achieved when vision, passion, and dedication intersect. Thank you for being a part of this journey.
