On Wednesday, November 19, 2014, Mr. HIROSAKI Botaro, Special Advisor to NEC Corporation, visited APU and gave a special lecture entitled "Strategies for Japanese companies expanding into Asia: The case of NEC." Mr. HIROSAKI discussed his passion for NEC, how he believes society will change going forward, and the business structure that NEC should pursue in the future. The students jotted notes as they listened intently.
One student asked what young people about to enter the real world should focus on at university, to which Mr. Hirosaki replied, "Learn how to read between the lines, hone your observational skills and set timelines for your goals."
He concluded his lecture by telling the students, "If you can develop these three skills, you will be able to do any job well."
