On Tuesday, February 25, 2016, APU signed a partnership agreement for the purpose of cultivating international human resources and contributing to the development of the regional society with Yoshimoto Kogyo Co., Ltd., an integrated entertainment company involved in talent management, planning and production, and distribution.
During the signing ceremony on the same day, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University President KORENAGA Shun expressed the goals of the agreement stating that, "The students and faculty can learn many things from Yoshimoto Kogyo. We wish to introduce high-level Japanese culture through overseas expansion." Yoshimoto Kogyo's President OSAKI Hiroshi also commented, "We want our employees and entertainers to experience globalism and diversity first-hand through exchanges with the APU students to take on the challenge of new businesses."
This agreement is a mutual partnership between APU, with its students from 83 countries and regions learning in a multinational and multicultural environment, and the internationally expanding Yoshimoto Kogyo, which will mutually provide various programs such as training programs, internships, and business model research. Going forward, APU and Yoshimoto Kogyo will promote academic exchange and undertake the cultivation of global human resources who can contribute to the regional society and regional social development.
