His Excellency Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Viet Nam to Japan, payed a visit to the APU campus on Sunday, July 3, 2016 to take part in the 2016 Women & Youth Exchange Meeting. Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong and Ambassador Nguyen Nguyet Nga, Senior Advisor to Viet Nam’s APEC 2017 National Secretariat, were received by Vice President Yokoyama before meeting with students from Viet Nam, providing the students with words of support and encouragement.

At present there are 501 students from Viet Nam studying at APU. In total, over 1,150 students from Viet Nam have studied at APU since the University opened in April 2000.
