In June 2021, a group of faculty and staff volunteers planted herbs to create the APU Herb Garden on campus.
The garden was created with donations to the Preserve the Natural Campus Environment Project to enrich the greenery of the old clock tower in front of the bus shelter, "Tokimachiba." Around the symbolic juneberry grow various herbs, such as lemongrass, rosemary, coriander, and sage.
The garden will be maintained by volunteers and nurtured to become a place of relaxation for visitors to the campus.
