In October 2022, the School of Management (SOM) at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) was re-accredited by AACSB (Association to Advance of Collegiate Business Schools) International. AACSB-accredited business schools are required to continuously improve, innovate, and provide high-quality management education. In order to maintain accreditation, institutions must undergo a rigorous review every five years to confirm fulfilment of AACSB's strict standards and to show improvement since previous reviews.

In its most recent review, SOM was praised for its promotion of diversity and inclusion and for its ambitious new strategy spearheaded by the Dean. In addition, the continuous improvement of faculty research as well as the system established to support those efforts were also highly evaluated.

SOM will continue striving for excellence as an institution that provides globally recognized business education.
