In response to the revision to the Basic Policies for Novel Coronavirus Disease Control (February 10, 2023) by the Japanese government, the university's response to the COVID-19 is as follows.

1. Mask wearing
〇 As the government policy on mask wearing will be to respect the independent choices of individuals and generally allow people to make their own judgment, APU will also end mask rules on March 12, 2023.
〇 In cases when wearing a mask is recommended due to an outbreak, APU will suggest mask wearing.

2. Handling COVID-19 infections and close contacts
Currently, APU asks anyone who becomes infected with COVID-19 or a close contact to report it to the university. This will no longer be required from March 31, 2023.
