For many APU students, the road to internationalization does not stop at APU. Several choose to go on study abroad programs outside of Japan. For these students, one of the best places to get information is as the Study Abroad Fair, held near the beginning of each semester.

Nearly 400 students attended the Fall 2017 Study Abroad Fair on Wednesday, October 11 in the Student Hall above the APU Cafeteria. Started in Fall 2016, the Academic Office holds this fair every semester. Students interested in study abroad can use this opportunity to meet with exchange students from partner schools as well as APU students who gone on study abroad. At this year's fair, 57 exchange students representing 30 partner schools staffed 52 booths alongside 50 APU students with study abroad experience.

When asked why he chose to come to APU, San Diego State University exchange student Jose De Jesus Hernandez Jr. replied, "When I was looking at exchange programs, my choice came down to APU and Sophia University. The fact that APU has AACSB accreditation made the decision very easy." One of the students attending the fair to get information, Chuthamanee JEENSAE (APS, 2nd year, Thailand) commented "I am studying Chinese, so I want to go to China."

Whether welcoming exchange students to APU or sending students on to partner universities abroad, APU's study abroad programs are just one more way that APU students are able to shape their world.
