On Wednesday, November 29, 2017, APU hosted the Fall 2017 Award and Scholarship Conferral Ceremony. This ceremony recognized a total of 48 students with outstanding academic performance in the 2017 spring semester, including three recipients of the ANDO Momofuku Award.
After Vice-President KIM Chan Hoe praised the students for their achievements, he presented one of the ANDO Momofuku Award recipients with a certificate on behalf of all of the award winners. Following this, Dean of the College of Asia Pacific Studies (APS) TODOROKI Hiroshi and Dean of the College of International Management OTAKE Toshitsugu presented certificates to student representatives from both colleges for recipients of the Academic Merit Certificate and the Academic Merit Scholarship, congratulating them on their achievements. Finally, Dean of Student Affairs MAKITA Masahiro exhorted students by saying, “Do not forget to be thankful of everyone that supported you, and continue on to even greater heights of achievement.”
This scholarship was founded through the generosity of the late Honorary Doctor ANDO Momofuku, the founder of the Nissin Food Products Co., Ltd. to encourage and support students to become future leaders of the Asia Pacific region.
