At a conferral ceremony on September 14, the APU Alumni Association presented two recipients with the APU Alumni Scholarship for the 2018 Academic Year. Association representative Koka Kuniyoshi encouraged the recipients to create learning opportunities and undertake endeavors that can change the world. At the ceremony, the award winners expressed their gratitude for the awards and the opportunity for current students to network with alumni.
In addition to alumni living and working around the globe, the APU Alumni Association welcomes current students as associate members. The Association maintains and builds ties among all members, be they past graduates or current students. The Alumni Association holds a variety of events to foster connections among its members and provides support to current students in the form of job hunting assistance and more. Recently, the association has expanded its role to include business networking among members.
In 2018, the Association has 34 total chapters established around the world with more than 16,000 members.
The APU Alumni Association aims to create an atmosphere that makes alumni feel at home anywhere in the world. It helps graduates realize their aspirations, contributing to the Asia Pacific and the wider world. We look forward to seeing how the ties that bind APU alumni together will change global and local communities.
