On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, the fall Study Abroad Exchange Fair was held at APU’s multipurpose hall. It was the first time in 3 years that the event was held in person. The Study Abroad Exchange Fair is an event in which students gather information about the various exchange programs at APU. Its biggest draw are the booths dedicated to each study abroad destination where you can receive explanations from and ask questions to real students from the university. This time, a total of 51 universities and organizations participated over both parts of the fair. Students were also able to obtain other information related to studying abroad, including an introduction APU’s Off-Campus Study Program as well as consultations on job hunting related to studying abroad.

The fair was broken up into 2 parts, with a total of 270 visitors. At the consultation corner, students came to professors with their concerns about the current weakness of yen and its impact on study abroad expenses. One participant commented, “I was happy I was able to confirm the information I had researched about the partner university. I was also able to ask about other things like transferring credits, so my anxieties were relieved.”

APU currently conducts study abroad exchange programs with 173 partner universities in 52 countries and regions (as of May 1, 2022).
