On Tuesday, November 21, 2023, JTB Co., Ltd. (JTB) and APU signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Kazutoshi Shinozaki, Executive Officer and Kyushu Area Representative of JTB, Mr. Takeshi Hirohara, Branch Manager of the Oita JTB Office, and from APU, President Haruaki Deguchi, Vice President Akito Asano, and Liaison Director, Takeshi Fujimoto. Executive Officer Shinozaki and President Deguchi successfully signed the agreement.

Through this agreement, APU, known for its strengths in multicultural coexistence, diversity, and inclusion (D&I) education which contributes to the development of human resources, and JTB, known for its strength in the "industry-government-academia network," aim to develop educational programs by leveraging each other's knowledge. Their goal is to contribute to regional development, academic research, and the advancement of society. Moreover, by deepening their collaboration, both parties strive to promote the cultivation of talents capable of changing the world and fostering initiatives and actions aimed at creating better regions, societies, and nations, starting from Beppu as a focal point to invigorate Oita, Kyushu, Japan, and the world.
