Deputy Chief of the Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Japan’s Visit to APU

On December 8, 2023, Mr. John Tjahjanto Boestami, Deputy Chief of the Mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Japan, visited APU. On that day, President Deguchi, Vice President Yoneyama, Vice President Kawazoe, Associate Professor DAHLAN Nariman from the College of Sustainability and Tourism, and Indonesian students welcomed Mr. Boestami and discussed future plans for admitting more Indonesian students. This visit to APU was made possible in time for Indonesian Week, which started on December 4. Currently, APU has 372 undergraduate students and 17 graduate students from Indonesia enrolled, making it the largest group of international students from a single country or region in the APU community for the Fall Semester of 2023.

After touring the campus guided by students, Mr. Boestami enjoyed Indonesian dishes prepared by students participating in Indonesian Week. At the end of his visit, he watched the grand show that concluded Indonesian Week.
