On April 3, 2024, from the Embassy of the Republic of Fiji in Japan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Filimone Waqabaca and First Secretary Ms. Kelera R. Savu and Honorary Consul ABE Seiyu, Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Fiji in Oita visited APU. On that day, President Yoneyama, Vice President Okamura, student recruitment staff, and Fijian students warmly welcomed the Ambassador and engaged in discussions. The discussions were lively, focusing on educational activities in APU and tourism matters. Currently, APU has two undergraduate students and three graduate students from the Republic of Fiji.
