In the "Save Your Friends from Underground Jobs! Video & Poster Contest," organized last year by the Oita Prefectural Police Headquarters, Daichi Hirose (College of Asia Pacific Studies, 4th year, Japan) won the Grand Prize in the poster category, while Aika Matsui (College of Sustainability and Tourism, 3rd year, Japan) received the Runner-up Prize.

The contest aimed to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal job offers (commonly referred to as "yami baito") among young people by encouraging them to create videos and posters directed at their peers. Through the creative process, the contest sought to enhance participants' own awareness of crime prevention and provide more effective public outreach targeting youth.

On June 24, commendation certificates were awarded by Kazuo Miura, Director of the Community Safety Department of the Oita Prefectural Police. The award ceremony was held solemnly at the headquarters and was attended by Yoko Nagahata, Director of the Safe and Secure Community Promotion Office, APU President Hiroshi Yoneyama, and Dean of Student Affairs Hiroki Tahara.
