In the spring semester of 2025, APU celebrated seven impressive Multicultural Weeks, featuring India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, and the Philippines.
Multicultural Weeks are one of the exclusive opportunities that APU offers students to experience the world without leaving campus. Every week, a series of events showcase the culture, traditions, food, music, dance, and history of a different country or region. Students devote their time and energy to planning and organizing to provide the APU community with the greatest experience possible. These events created unforgettable experiences and promoted cultural exchange throughout the APU community.
These weeks start with an opening parade at APU’s iconic fountain, offering students a lively outdoor atmosphere filled with captivating performances and cultural displays. Throughout the week, the APU community can enjoy authentic traditional dishes and snacks, available exclusively during this limited period. Additionally, there are workshops that allow students and visitors to interact by creating traditional crafts, and exhibitions provide deeper insights into each nation’s unique background and traditions.
The highlight of each week is the Grand Show, held in Millennium Hall, where students deliver stunning and meaningful performances that capture the culture, tradition, and history of their countries or regions, drawing large, enthusiastic audiences. Students continually try to enhance their skills and make each year’s performances and activities more impactful and engaging. This year, there was also a fashion show which highlighted the evolution of Myanmarese attire, presenting how traditional clothing styles and designs have transformed through different historical periods and cultural influences.
Each day brought memorable experiences, reflecting the students’ ongoing commitment to raising the standard of the Multicultural Weeks.
